Here’s a shortened version of my weekly wrap up talking about my progress on the previous week’s goals:
Progress on Previous Week's E-Commerce Goals:
[x] Finished landing page
[x] Identify which platforms to launch first set of ads
[x] Set budget for initial ad campaign
[x] Launch ads on identified platforms and with the budget amount.
I pushed hard on the E-Commerce project this week and was able to complete everything I planned.
Here were a few friction points I came across:
The landing page took a substantial amount of time.
Issues with Facebook account prevented me from launching ads on Facebook and Instagram. Problem has been resolved.
Constantly refining goals and vision of the product and product strategy. Will write about this soon.
Previous Week's Zero to 1K Goals:
[x] Twitter: 51 followers
[ ] Newsletter subscriptions: 8 subscriptions
Twitter:
Great progress on Twitter goals this week and hit ~40% follower growth. I believe I hit my daily Twitter lead measures and that directly impacted hitting my goal.
Newsletter:
Newsletter is still on the back-burner and I just haven't had the time to focus on growth as much as I would like. I only hit 2 articles for the week (this one and one that is on the new blog I am transitioning over to). 8 subscriptions were not achieved.
Time is the factor that is preventing progress in this area. In terms of priorities, E-Commerce is the top, Twitter is the second, and newsletter/other projects are given any remaining free time. Which is little to none.
I'm working towards putting processes in place that will automate some of the more cumbersome documentation elements of this project that I would like to use as more content on the future blog. I intend to experiment with that to see how much "automated" growth I can gain.
